Key Benefits
 |
Rapid development of instrumentation control software through the use of
LabVIEW. |
 |
Experience in integration of data acquisition, image acquisition and
motion analysis. |
 |
Experience in working in multi language
environments where DLLs and Active X interfaces are used to link between the
languages. |
Example of two software projects
 | Surface Plasmon Resonance Imaging:
For this client, three separate prototype instrument control software
packages were written. These
programs involved Image acquisition and analysis, tight synchronization
between image capture, motion control and fluidics.
The program analyzed up to 800 regions of interest (400 samples and
400 references) and uses peak fitting algorithms to measure biological
activity. Fluidics involved the
controlling of syringes pumps, peristaltic pumps, multi-port valves and
solenoid valves. Motion
control is used to move a light source to microdegree accuracy and for
sample delivery. After
image/data acquisition is complete, the user can analyze the data run
with cursors and see the the 400 spots signal shown in a 3 D graph for rapid
data interpretation. The software also
has
diagnostic and service capabilities which can be accessed through the use of
specific keys and a password. |
 | Flourescence Lifetime detection:
For this client, software was written to control an
instrument that detected the excited lifetimes of electrons in different
media using a heterodyning technique. Multiple operation mode made available to acquire kinetic and static
measurements. This software package was modified to measure lifetime in a 96 and 382 well plate
reader, a cuvette based instrument, a microscope instrument and a oceanic
based instrument that used custom
elliptical optics. |
